To better serve you, we may collect and maintain certain information regarding our customers, for example, billing and shipping information. Under no circumstances do we sell or rent this information to other businesses, and we strictly protect and enforce the confidentiality of this information. Security and Encryption
OwnShirts.com is committed to protecting our customers' personal information. All orders placed on our website are transmitted through the latest industry standard military grade 128 bit encryption. This technology is used to protect your credit card information and keep your transaction details secure. To be sure that your order is secure, simply check your web browser while you are placing an order. Most browsers use some sort of symbol to alert you to the fact that you are on a secured website. For example, Netscape and Internet Explorer display small security icons, either a padlock or a key, in the bottom corner of the program when the site is secured.
While we use encryption software to protect sensitive information online, we also use our best efforts to protect your information off-line. Access to all of our customers' information is restricted in our offices. We take reasonable steps to ensure that only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment behind a locked cage.
Information Collection and Use
We only request personal information (such as your name, address, and e-mail address) if you choose to purchase our products. We do not request, collect or store personal information if you merely browse our website. If you order with a credit card, your address information is supplied to your credit card company to verify that it matches the billing address associated with the card. If you choose to purchase a product and supply the requested information, we never sell, trade, or otherwise share any of this information with any other company or organization. If you sign up for one of our contests or our mailing list your email will be used to send you our weekly newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Our site is not directed or marketed to children under the age of 18. We do not intentionally collect or store information on children. If we learn that a child has made a purchase from OwnShirts.com without his or her parent's consent, we immediately, upon parental request, void the sale and refund any monies collected upon the return of the merchandise.
Cookies and Session IDs
Upon visiting our site, we assign you a unique Session ID. This is used to keep track of your shopping basket during your visit. This unique number is not stored on your computer as a "cookie". "Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. OwnShirts.com does not use of cookies!
Log Files and IP Addresses
We use standard server log files to identify IP addresses, browser type, and the date and time users have accessed OwnShirts.com. We use Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track a user's movement on our site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. "Aggregate use" means that information from all users is collected and gathered into a whole unit so that information as a whole can be used. We do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information.
Policy Changes
We may change or enhance our privacy policy to improve our service to you. If we do change our policy, we will note those changes on our website. A message will be displayed on our home page for a period of time that a change has been made, and the change will be highlighted within the privacy policy. You are welcome to refer to this policy each time you are considering making a purchase.
